Please send positive vibes my way tomorrow at 12 pm …
It is the most important journey of my life thus far…
Arrived in US by myself at 19 in 2003…
Have been a permanent resident of USA since 2006…
It has been a 9 year journey since the day I stepped out of my plane in LAX…
It hasn’t been an easy walk…
I’ve stumbled and fell, I’ve made mistakes and learned…
I’ve grown.
Tomorrow, May 16th 2012 is my citizenship interview …
I’m both, nervous and exited…
This is it…

It warms my heart to know you value citizenship in “our” country as much as I do! Your adopted country also values you, and your unique talents. It’s what makes America so great. Good luck and welcome! And congratulations…..P.S.- I’d really like to know what is in the study guide!
100 questions about US history and government . They will ask 10.
Thank you so much Susan!
I’ll be on your wavelength tomorrow with positive vibes. Looking forward to a post about the ceremony love n luck from an Ausie
Elena – Best wishes and positive vibes for you tomorrow! From what I’ve learned of you from your images and words, our country is lucky to have you. You add to the treasures that make up our country. All the best!

Good luck Elena! (I need to do it this year too! Thanks for the reminder…).
Goodluck!
Out of curiosity, what is your current citizenship? I’m Canadian and I found out that there are some serious tax repercussions for becoming a US citizen that I might never do it! Of course each person has their own circumstance.
Good luck tomorrow… or shall I say: break a leg
Thank you! And the answer to your question is on my EL page..
Positive vibes are now coming your way! You will pass with flying colors. Red, White, and Blue that is!
Worry not! You are a blessed soul, and I am not a weirdo! You have nothing to worry about! KNOW that! BELIEVE that! I’m not going to condescend to you, or I. on this matter! Go forth, believe in everything, and handle it! I LOVE YOU! When will you follow suit? Not with me, with YOU!
But, Good Luck, Too! blah, blah, blah……..
Best wishes. The best advice I ever got about exams was to get some good rest before the test so that you can think more clearly. Good luck. Cheers.
You should be just fine during your interview. I am impressed that you even bother with the paperwork involved in becoming an American citizen, but am so pleased to know that there are a few people left wanting citizenship that respect our laws enough to play by the rules. I will be rooting for you , well beyond tomorrow, all the way to your commencement ceremony, which I assume will be on July 4th Sadly, you probably know more about American civics at this point than most Americans do, to be honest. Good Luck with that interview!
Thank you very much! I believe in this country and would be honored to become a citizen.
Ha, you right on the money about the civics test ..
by the way,
The House of Representatives has how many voting members ?..
; )
You’ll do well, Elena. Let us know how it went.
Best wishes,
Bruce
You’ll pull through and do awesome … good luck (though I’m sure you won’t need it) and enjoy what comes after!
Positive vibes your way, Elena!
Good luck Elena. Not that you need it. A young lady with your savvy and travel smarts should have no trouble remembering a few facts and figures. I’ll go ahead and welcome you confidently to this country as a new citizen as I feel sure you’ll ace this final step.
