Los Liones Trail
by Lena
I thought this view was much more captivating than a super bowl match surrounded by red plastic cups of beer … but then again,
I don’t have a television or plastic cups, so this decision was a pretty easy one to make…
What a marvelous hike this was! This is now one of my favorite places in la la land.
Mr. Bond and I even saw a deer crossing the trail right in front of us.
If you ever do go there closer to the night or really early in the morning, make sure to hike with a group of friends. When you are by yourself or just the 2 of you..try to leave before darkness…
We were the only ones on our walk back. It was getting chilly and really dark. I’ll be honest;
I felt shaken and uneasy by the fact that I heard something moving along the trail in the bushes next to us… as we were walking… it was just a step behind us..
Even though it was a scary moment at the very end, I’m so glad I went!…
but on my next visit, I’ll try to leave before the darkness of the night takes its reign…
especially when the hike goes by the name of
” Liones ” …
“When we get out of the glass bottles of our ego,
and when we escape like squirrels turning in the
cages of our personality
and get into the forests again,
we shall shiver with cold and fright
but things will happen to us
so that we don’t know ourselves.
Cool, unlying life will rush in” ~ D. H. Lawrence
. . . nice!
Good one Elena, and fab pics! Ann
meh…. you didn’t miss much of a game and the commercials were only so-so as far as entertainment value goes. I’d have to say you made a great choice!
Glad that you enjoyed such a beautiful hike and time with nature. I bet it enjoyed you as well
Such scenes in nature are the ones we take with us wherever we go. Make sure to think back on that hike in the coming days.
Abrazos (hugs)!
Beautiful pictures!

Beautiful! I wish we had mountains like that! Or at least some hills!
Oh this was definitely better than the Super Bowl!! Beautiful pictures!
Awesome pics!
isn’t it wonderful, getting out of the big bad city, seeing the sky opening up above you. Great photos.
Much better than a Superbowl I agree. The 6th picture down is probably my favourite – I love the colours.
it’s my favorite one too : )
What a magical hike…even the ‘noise’ that you heard behind you – benevolence abounds in every creature, it is our minds that get us to the scary place…wonderful photos that expressed Nature’s beauty. Thanks for the post.
agree with you 100 % ! Our minds sometimes lead us to believe something that does not exist ..
Next time I’m in LA I’m going to look for info on that hike. Beautiful!
Gorgeous shots! That is an awesome view! Much better than the Superbowl, for sure.😉
Beautiful pics!
I love the view you have shared with us all.

I would love to be there! beautiful pics!
The view is magnificent!
inspiring pictures! and great to know about such an amazing place so near at hand…
Beautiful pics! I miss the beautiful shots in LA! Your “run in” with a mysterious noise reminded me of when my husband and I went climbing the hills of the Oasis at night. We heard a donkey right behind us and saw parts of a carcass! Scary but worth it! LOL
Elena,
You really caught the essence of nature in these shots – beautiful colors, awesome views. Thanks for sharing!
Love the line, “If only benches could talk.” Every time I go by abandoned houses I say to my kids, “Can you imagine all the conversations that happened about the kitchen table in that old house?”
What a wonderful thought!
I love what you said about preferring being there than at the super bowl match:) Nature really puts things into perspective Thanks
Beautiful pictures..Nothing can bring you in such awe as nature does..
