Goodbye to an amazing year of the Rabbit & Welcome to the Black Dragon of 2012!

Wow! 2011 was one hell of a year!! Here’s to leaving all the negative behind and packing into suitcase only the positive!
Spent my NYE with my + 1, surrounded by stunning wilderness of Zion National Park in Utah.
New Years Day —
Someday, I’ll see Zion NP. Closest I ever came was Red Rocks, CO. Some day. — YUR
Great images!
Together with Bryce Canyon, Zion NP was one of my favorite locations during my South-West trip in 1999.
very interesting way to start a year…and what a place to begin..Utah is one of my most favorite places !

Thank you for your Zion NP photos and story. Truly one of my favorite parks until I broke my leg there last year and had to be hauled out by Search and Rescue. (A bit of a story–see my blog if you like) I’ve been a little bitter about Zion since, blaming her for a tough year of recovery after surgery, but you’ve renewed my love for one of the most truly breathtaking corners of this world. Being from Utah right now I’ll have to make another trip back to make amends. It’s easy. She’s so close.
Thank you.
Lisa, very sorry to hear about your accident : ( Thank you for your comment. I’m so happy this post gave you a boost and that you haven’t given up on her…
health, love & light to you!

Funny – while I’m from Montreal, Utah was home base for 13 years as I traveled the world for work. Gorgeous, suburban, vast, fascinating. I can still conjure up the smell of pinon-juniper forest, and will always have a soft spot for cowboys. ;>
Thank you for a wonderful comment! I really want to go back and explore some more.. 2 days were NOT enough!

Zion NP is one of my most favorite places to visit, especially the narrows, which I’m sure are closed right now, of course, unfortunately
