This is so beautiful. I was recently in San Louis Obispo this past December and completely fell in love with California again. It was a real treat to be there and feel the warmth, a welcome relief from grey Belgium.
maybe sometime later.. it wasn’t all roses.. trust me!! Me & mr. bond got really, really lost … at night in true wilderness.. at one point I thought I was in one of those horror movies ” wrong turn ” .. where you think you reached the end of the road, but you’re just in some weird parking lot with a bunch of old cars, sound of river, cellphone battery dies on both phones, cold, dark, 10 miles behind and nowhere near the end … glad to have run into a family that was camping, they gave us a ride down the main road to our car ( LA truly is a city of Angels ) .. but I will never forget the fear I felt .. As soon as it became really dark I was carrying a stick ( my Maasai Warrior friends in Kenya would have been very proud of me : )
so you see, the pictures I took and the story don’t match : ))
Ah ha – I see. Sounds like it was quite a frightful night – I know how that can feel. Beauty of the sunset, terror of the darkness. Does lend itself to more of a horror story versus and inspirational tale. Glad you are safe and well.
there were a couple of unexpected things that went wrong along the way ( like being lost at night in the middle of nowhere.. but thankfully things worked out fine .. and besides, these photos were worth it .. )

This is not my personal post. It is of Elena, one of the bloggers I follow, and it was so amazing to see these photos as I opened my computer this chilly morning in Calgary, that I felt I had to reblog it for others following me to see. All credits for photos and content belong to Elena.
I can see why it is called “Inspiration Point” beautiful..The photos were amazing, especially the final one. Nice, thanks for letting us inside your camera..
Nothing like gazing at the beauty that is Southern California to set the day right! Thank you for sharing your lovely images of a place I hold dear to my heart!
Just looked up the etymology of “inspiration” and learned that inspiration is the “immediate influence of God or a god,” especially that under which the holy books were written. From Old French, “inspiration” is “inhaling, breathing in; inspiration,” I thought that you captured in your photos that moment in time when you breathed in the source of this beauty and produced something inspirational.
Lovely! The colors are stunning, refreshing!
LOVE the last photo. The orange on the horizon is stunning, with the crescent moon in the sky. Thanks for sharing:)

I’ve been there in topenga valley
the sunsets/sunrises are unbelievable
The very vision of inspiration, the light before the dawn
Love the last image where the lights are coming on but the hues of the sunset are in full effect… fantastic
