Comments on: How NOT to Plan /2011/11/15/usa-solo/ I choose to collect memories instead of things. " To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of 'Life' " Tue, 24 Mar 2015 01:08:39 +0000 hourly 1 http://wordpress.com/ By: micneu /2011/11/15/usa-solo/comment-page-2/#comment-22501 Sat, 13 Dec 2014 04:55:17 +0000 /?p=233#comment-22501 This is such a great blog post! My sister and I used to talk about “how NOT to plan”, and how it can get in the way of experiencing true culture. I am excited to read about how passionately others’ excursions were; particularly, to Africa. I get many of my amazing aromatics from Madagascar, Kenya, Egypt, Somalia (Frankincense and Myrrh), and my precious Baobab oil from South Africa. I have high hopes to prayerful visit South Africa, and view the tree they call the “tree of life”. Such fascinating details! I hope that you have a safe trip and a glorious time in Egypt!

I think thats why roughing it a bit is so valuable, because you can’t understand the benefit of the one hour flight from lima to cusco unless you know the feeling of the 3 hour bus, with cross river boat ride, then the 7 hour bus and the final 14 hour bus to get back. After that an international flight is a breeze.

he first is more relaxing and restorative for the body, probably and in a way for the mind.
the second one is more challenging, adventuour, worth to be remembered and incredible. in the first the place is the protagonist in the second one you the traveller are the protagonist.
i love both, i like both. sometime i need one other time i need the other.
they are just two different things.
but…everyone should try at least one solo travel. it’s incredible what can happen!

I feel fearlessness yet you seem grounded and compassionate. Thank you for blogging about your life..
